In addition, sleeping is apparently a huge issue. It's supposed to be particularly painful to roll over and move around (and ill advised in fact). One answer that people on the internet have found is to sleep in a recliner. A bed with lots and lots of pillows to prop you up can work too, but that probably won't work in my case. Soooo, now I'm looking for a recliner. While I would like to just rent one, I might not be able to do that, though I am trying. So if I need to buy one, which must have either no lever or a lever on the left side, since obviously I won't be able to use one on the right side, I'm unlikely to keep it long term. What would have a good resell value? Maybe one of these?

it's probably good training for sleeping in planes too! I think these are gonna have killer resale value, very good idea
I suspect the value would be much more if they were Buffalo Bills colors and logo.
I'm afeared I cannot in good conscience condone any sports-related furniture purchases. Unless you have a rec room to move it into afterwards?
Unfortunately not Stef, that's why I need to get something I can resell.....or just rent initially.
I'm partial to that last one... and I'm sure you can find a fanatical Bears fan willing to purchase it later.
Just make sure you dont leave any drool marks, as this would inhibit resale value.
