The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.

Well this explains a hell of a lot. Maybe not though....I don't drink THAT much coffee, but I still hear voices.

Oddly, my sleep pattern has been messed up all week. You'd think that by now, I'd be back to normal after a trip to Vegas. I'm just not there yet though. This week I've stayed up until 1 or 2 in the morning and have slept in way to long and had to take naps in the afternoon. It's crazy.

While in Vegas, as I mentioned, I would spend the morning reading the paper in the nice morning sunshine and sipping my coffee. On one of those days, I read an article by Mary Schmich. She wanted to describe the Bush presidency in 10 words (the same number of words as the title of this entry by the way). It's sort of like a marketing slogan exercise, only not (10 words by the way). As she pulled out Ben Franklin quotes that were 10 words (he had many), she also made several efforts on the Bush front. Here are a few:

Bush leaves us with the rule of law in shreds.

A weak leader with strong opinions led the country astray.

A cowboy fired at the world and wounded the nation.

One she didn't create but added:
We can't fully know the present while we're in it.

For you creative types, what would you write?

Things I'm grateful for:
#67 My legal experiences that allow me to be able to read legal documents and interact with lawyers without feeling the need to kill them or myself.
#68 Portable DVD players with noise canceling head phones. Watching movies on an airplane has never been more enjoyable.
#69 Free hotel shampoo. Actually, I gather them up during my travels and donate them to either The Ronald McDonald House or the shelter at my church.

Hmmm, well I'm not going to yell at you like anonymous here. But I am too tired to even imagine taking a stab at this right now. I bet De-I will.

That's fine. I love the people who say "Bush did a great job protecting this country. We haven't been hit since 9/11." Yeah, but if you give him credit for us not being hit again, you also have to blame him for allowing the 9/11 attacks to happen. If you don't you're just illogical.....or perhaps you're Dick Cheney.

Oh, and just because Bush is gone, doesn't mean we don't get to blame him for at least the next 18 months. Economies are ruined or fixed in a day.

I am concerned and intrigued that you hear voices in your head. I've always wondered: do the voices sound like regular people that you would hear anywhere or are the voices unique and you know they belong to the folks in your head? Is there a pattern- like a stress trigger? Do you think it could be related to your Meniere's (sp)? Very curious to be able to ask someone who otherwise does not seem crazy :)

Its amazing how Bush haters will blame him for everything bad thats happened and refuse to give him credit for anything good! We were hit because of 8 years of Clinton cutting the military and intelligence. Only history will tell who is right. I just hope we remain safe under our new President. Nobody is worried about retirement plans and gas prices when skyscrapers are falling!

I guess if anything GOOD happened....

And I disagree that nobody worries about the economy when buildings are falling.

First, less than 3,000 people died on 9-11. 4,230 have died in Iraq, all lie squarely on Bush's shoulders. I'll give him a pass on the 641 who have died in Afghanistan, since that's where bin laden is hiding.

Our unemployment rate is at historic highs, impacting MILLIONS of people and their futures.

A stock market with one of the worst 8 year performances in history, destroying retirement income, also for MILLIONS of people.

The intelligence gathered under Clinton was good enough so that 8 months after Bush took office, documentation existed and was reviewed by his cabinet members discussing an imminent attack by Al Queda and bin laden using aircraft. His administration took no action due to their own arrogance.
