Another Joliet Weekend

This weekend I'm going to a unique softball tournament. Once a year, our team plays in a "major" tournament, which does not mean a big or important tournament. Rather the term relates to a rank of teams called "majors" who are the elite of the elite softball players in the country, are sponsored and paid (with real contracts) and routinely can hit home runs out of major league baseball stadiums (i.e. over 350 ft). All level of teams can play and the highest finishing team at each level will receive a world series bid in Florida. That's what we're after. We know we're not likely to beat a Major, A or even B team, but we could be the highest finishing D team.

Tonight we play a team at our level first at 7:00 with the winner playing a B team at 8. Either way we come back tomorrow morning early to play another good team no doubt. Sunday would be a tournament for just our level of teams if there is no clear cut highest finishing team. Should be an interesting weekend.

I'm just waiting for some A team to offer you a juicy contract.

Good luck and for once have decent weather.

I think if an A team offered me a juicy contract, after I stopped laughing, I'd tell them they need to pull their heads out of their collective asses. :-) You should see what some of those guys can do to a softball.....it ain't right.

The weather was great!!! Finally!
